The Lucas Oil/ Dixie Chopper Dragster team was rained out of their first race this past Memorial Day weekend.

Qualifying was completed Saturday before the skies opened up and washed away any chance of eliminations on Sunday. T.J. Schippling had the opportunity to add another dragster for this weekend's race and is qualified number 3 for the rescheduled event. Teammate Dan Morgan followed T.J. solidly in the seventh qualified position.

“Our car's came out strong and we were very happy with our performance during qualifying,” said Schippling. “It’s unfortunate that the race is delayed but we were very happy to introduce the Canadian fans to our new team members, Dixie Chopper, K&N, and NGK.”

Eliminations have been rescheduled for Saturday June 14 at Grand Bend Motorplex.
