SHAKESPEARE, ONTARIO (June 13, 2008)- This Father’s Day weekend T.J. Schippling and the Lucas Oil/ Dixie Chopper team will be in Grand Bend, Ontario. Saturday is the rescheduled race from May 18.

Schippling Motorsports has procured another dragster for this event which will enable both T.J. and teammate Dan Morgan to compete in the Top Dragster category.

“It’s a great opportunity to double the exposure for our new partners Dixie Chopper, K&N, and NGK as well as the companies that have been with us for awhile like Lucas Oil, Mechanix Wear, Auto Meter, and Fast Eddie Racewear,” said Schippling.

Schippling is qualified third and Morgan starts from the seventh spot when eliminations resume around noon.

“We were hoping to test Friday prior to the race however the weekends forecast does not look favorable.”

Schippling also acknowledged the significance of racing on the same weekend as Father’s Day. “My dad Thom, was the one that made all my racing aspirations a reality. I’m very grateful to be out here racing and I’ll dedicate this weekend to him.”

Following last weekends Sarnia/Lambton Shootout, Schippling is sixth in the Armando’s Pizza Top Dragster points series.
