Schippling Motorsports Enjoys Success with Auto Meter

SHAKESPEARE, ONTARIO (June 24, 2008)- Schippling Motorsports continues to promote Auto Meter Competition Instruments. The successful relationship began in 2005.

“I am very happy to represent Auto Meter,” said driver T.J. Schippling. “We’ve always relied on Auto Meter for accurate monitoring of all systems as well as for recorded data during a run.”

New for the 2008 season, the Lucas Oil/ Dixie Chopper dragster has been equipped with a complete array of Auto Meter’s Ultra-Lite Digital gauges.

“In a sport where thousandths of a second play, having the most accurate information helps. The sweeping gauges always performed and I really like that we can now pinpoint numbers on our digital gauges. And they look very cool as well.”

Schippling still relies on his Ultimate II Dual Channel Playback Tachometer (part number 6884) for recording each run down the drag strip.

“The information we gain by recording data during runs has helped us tremendously. The Tach Facts software enables us to download and view multiple runs at a time and make the necessary adjustments to our car.

“We’ve always had an open door policy as part of our agreement with Auto Meter. We demonstrate the capabilities of this tach and what we’ve learned to other racers.”

Auto Meter has been very visible on the side of the Lucas Oil/ Dixie Chopper dragster. They also receive recognition on support vehicles and the teams uniforms. Auto Meter can be found at autometer.com or by clicking on the Auto Meter website banner at tjschippling.com.
