Shakespeare, Ontario-- Lucas Oil Products in Canada will once again join Schippling Motorsports as their primary sponsor. For 2008, T.J. Schippling will be behind the wheel of the Schippling Motorsports dragster.

Schippling Motorsports is owned by Thom Schippling and was formed in 2001. In the short seven years, the team has enjoyed a lot of success. In 2005 the team won their first championship at Grand Bend Motorplex in the Top Dragster category. T.J. was nominated for Sportsman Driver Of The Year by DragRaceCanada.com.

T.J. Schippling was recently hired to drive of the KonRodz Racing IHRA Alcohol Funny Car. His schedule will permit him to race both cars throughout the season. If there are conflicts, Schippling may rely on Dan Morgan to drive the dragster. Morgan raced the dragster last year to a number four position in points.
